How is SuperMute priced?

SuperMute is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or ads.

Does SuperMute work offline?

Yes. SuperMute operates entirely offline and does not require internet access.

Can I use SuperMute on tablets?

Yes. SuperMute works on any Android device running Android 7.0 or newer.

Will SuperMute silence my alarm clock?

Nope. SuperMute never touches alarm volume. Your alarm clock will, sadly, work normally. 😀

What volume streams does SuperMute control?

SuperMute is designed to silence the most common sounds that can interrupt your day, while leaving critical alerts intact.

SuperMute DOES mute:
•Media (music, videos, games, podcasts)
•Ringtone
•Notifications
•System sounds (keyboard clicks, screen lock sounds)
•Accessibility sounds (on supported devices)

SuperMute does NOT mute:
•Alarms: To ensure you never miss an important alarm.
•Voice Calls: The in-call volume is not affected.
•AI Assistant: This stream is protected by the Android OS and cannot be muted by third-party apps.

Privacy & Permissions

Why does SuperMute need Notification Access?

Notification Access allows SuperMute to display a persistent toggle in your notification shade. Without it, you’d need to open the app every time you want to mute your phone. See Permissions & Privacy for details.

Does SuperMute collect data?

No. Never. SuperMute collects zero data. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry. Your volume settings never leave your device.

Can SuperMute read my notifications?

Nope. While Android’s Notification Access permission is broad, SuperMute has no code to read, parse, or interact with notifications from other apps. It uses the permission solely to display its own toggle.

What volume streams does SuperMute control?

SuperMute DOES mute:
•Media (music, videos, games, podcasts)

How does Smart Restore work?

SuperMute saves your volume levels when you mute. If you manually adjust volume while muted, Smart Restore detects the change and preserves your new settings instead of overwriting them. See Usage for examples.

Does SuperMute run in the background?

No. SuperMute has no background services or continuous processes. It activates only when you tap the toggle.

Will SuperMute drain my battery?

No. SuperMute uses negligible battery. The app has no network activity, location tracking, or background processes.

Compatibility

What Android versions are supported?

SuperMute requires Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer. Most devices from 2016 onward are supported.

Does SuperMute work on custom ROMs?

Usually, yes. However, some heavily modified ROMs (especially older MIUI, EMUI, or ColorOS versions) may restrict volume control APIs. If you experience issues, contact support with your device model and ROM version and we will likely build that in.

Can I use SuperMute on multiple devices?

Yes. Your Google Play purchase allows installation on all devices linked to your Google account.

Support & Updates

How do I get updates?

SuperMute updates automatically through the Google Play Store if auto-update is enabled. You can also manually update via the Play Store.

How do I report a bug?

Can I request a feature?

Uninstalling

How do I uninstall SuperMute?
  1. Open Settings → Apps → SuperMute
  2. Tap Uninstall
  3. Confirm

All app data is automatically deleted. No remnants are left on your device.

Will I lose my purchase if I uninstall?

No. Your Google Play purchase is permanent. You can reinstall SuperMute anytime without repurchasing.
