License & Activation

Your Dispatch Pro license controls which domain the plugin’s Pro features are active on. One license = one domain. Here’s how everything works.

How to activate your license

Go to Dispatch → Settings → License
Paste your license key into the key field (copy it directly from your purchase email to avoid typos)
Click Activate License
The page will refresh and show your license status as Active

Moving your license to a different domain

On the current (old) site, go to Dispatch → Settings → License
Click Deactivate License — this releases the license from the old domain
On the new site, install Dispatch Core and Dispatch Pro
Go to Dispatch → Settings → License and enter your license key
Click Activate License

License status indicators

Active — Pro features are enabled. License is valid for this domain.
Inactive — License key entered but not yet activated, or was deactivated. Pro features are disabled.
Invalid / Domain mismatch — The key does not match the current domain. Check for typos or confirm you haven’t activated this key elsewhere.
No key entered — Pro features are disabled and the license field is empty.

If activation fails

Copy and paste the key again — do not type it manually
If the error says “domain mismatch”, you may have previously activated this key on a different domain. Deactivate it from that domain first.
If the activation request times out, your server may be blocking outbound HTTP requests to the license server. Contact your host to check if outbound connections are filtered.
If none of the above applies, use the Get Help form and include your license key (last 4 characters only) and site URL.

What happens when the plugin is deactivated?

If Dispatch Pro is deactivated from the WordPress plugins screen, your subscriber data, campaign history, and settings remain intact (they are stored by Dispatch Core). Pro features — Visual Builder, transactional email editing, CSV import — will be unavailable until the plugin is reactivated. Deactivating the plugin does not deactivate your license key.
